So there was a little light show up on skyline drive last night. I’ve been impatiently waiting the return of this opportunity. In 2017 the Aurora was visible, but I was fairly new to photography and navigating the night sky so I missed it. Last month I was super bummed to have missed it AGAIN because I didn’t know the possibility existed. But this time the stars aligned. I set up my gear and took a few test shots every couple of minutes in case my eyes needed more time to adjust. After the first two test shots of nothing, I resolved myself to the fact that this probably wasn’t going to be THE TIME. And then suddenly there it was. I was so excited; my hands couldn’t get my camera locked on the tripod fast enough.
